If a demanding class schedule doesn’t allow you to study abroad for a semester, there are other options
Junior Will Jones, a double major in Theater and English, could not study abroad for an entire semester because doing so would prevent him from graduating in four years. Instead, he traveled overseas during the summer.
For 2 1/2 months, Jones traveled throughout Europe, including Athens, Budapest and Prague. He chose to study at Stendhal University in Grenoble, France where he studied French language and culture. Instead of traveling with a Chapman affiliated program, he traveled with a different program and transferred the credits.
“I got the most out of going abroad for a summer as I could,” said Jones. “I have not quenched my thirst for traveling though.”
Summer abroad programs are offered in almost every country, as well as, summer internships to London and New Zealand.
