Coachella was founded in 1999, and has happened every year since then except for 2000.
In 2004 a huge inflatable pig flew away in the middle of Rodger Waters’ set.
In 2011, Coachella expanded to a two-weekend event.
Around 90,000 people went to Coachella in 2013.
It is the largest and most profitable festival in the US.
This year Coachella takes place on the weekends April 11-13 and 18-20.
