Crave salty rather than sweet? Here are five innovative popcorn recipes that are sure to satisfy your cravings.
TRUFFLE CHEESE POPCORN IS A SIMPLE GOURMET RECIPE ALWAYS GOOD TO ACCOMPANY A MOVIE NIGHT IN.
1. Truffle Cheese Popcorn
Toss together three tablespoons of melted butter, ¾ tablespoons of truffle oil, ¼ cup of grated Parmesan cheese, and salt and pepper to taste.
*The key is to toss all of these ingredients together while the popcorn is still hot and fresh so the Parmesan will melt.
2. Cajun Popcorn
Blend one tablespoon of Cajun seasoning, one teaspoon of grated lemon zest, and ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper with four tablespoons of melted butter.
3. Za’atar Popcorn
Whisk together six tablespoons of melted butter with two tablespoons of za’atar spice blend, and kosher salt to taste. Drizzle over popcorn and toss together with two cups of broken pita chips for an added crunch.
4. Garlic Bread Popcorn
Add ¼ cup of Parmesan cheese, two teaspoons of garlic salt, and one tablespoon of basil to four tablespoons of melted butter. Toss and serve.
5. Mustard Pretzel Popcorn
Melt four tablespoons of butter with two tablespoons of Dijon mustard, one teaspoon of sugar, and ½ teaspoon of kosher salt. Spread over popcorn and add two cups of mini pretzels for the ultimate snack.
