For many students, sports are something that they try their first year and discover that there are too many other opportunities in college to take advantage of. After coming into Chapman with the assumption that I was going to play baseball, I quickly realized that the school held other opportunities for me. As someone who played baseball my entire life, I decided that I wanted a change of pace. The chances I’ve had that have been afforded to me because of the free time created by the baseball void have changed my life, and I never once doubted my decision to quit after my first year.
